The Drifting Classroom by Kazuo Umezu
A school inexplicably vanishes with all the students and faculty inside. With a dwindling food supply and a vast, bizarre desert surrounding the school, teacher’s and students begin to lose their human rationality. Will the students maintain their goodwill; is selflessness truly a virtue or just something taught in school; or as hunger tears away their humanity, will they devolve to an animalistic state of survival? More importantly, will they ever see their loved ones again?
